Night Flyers Concert

About this event

Join the Nazareth University Night Flyers (Kevin Weber, conductor) for "Memories in Motion," an exciting evening of music ranging from peaceful and beautiful to lively and celebratory. David Maslanka's glowing "Illumination" and Percy Grainger's beloved "Colonial Song"—a heartfelt tribute to his homeland—showcase the best of wind band music with rich harmonies and beautiful melodies. Rossano Galante's "Cry of the Last Unicorn" brings fantasy to life with sweeping drama. Ralph Vaughan Williams' lively "Sea Songs" offers a spirited collection of sea melodies celebrating maritime tradition with contagious energy. John Mackey's "Let Me Be Frank With You" delivers humor, energy, and exciting rhythms—bold contemporary wind band writing. Steve Danyew's new work "Pictures of a Memory" takes us on an emotional journey through time, blending fragments of the past with striking musical images.
