The Humans (Hourglass Play Reading Series)

About this event

This Tony Award winner and Pulitzer Prize finalist follows the Blake family as they struggle through an uncomfortable Thanksgiving dinner, hosted by the youngest of the family, Brigid, in her cramped Manhattan apartment. Part humor and part hurt, the play sheds light on the problems of the modern working-class family while an inescapably eerie atmosphere mirrors the existential dread that comes with trying to “pull yourself up by your bootstraps.”

HPRS is a free play reading series. The performances are not fully staged, and there are no costumes, sets, or props. Actors will hold scripts in their hands.
