- ➤ Today the American Red Cross warned that home fires rise during the holidays and local volunteers will have to help with emergencies when severe weather and flooding occur. Regional director Michael Tedesco said more than 2,000 volunteers have already helped families by giving lodging, food, and clothing—he asked the public to donate blood to support hospitals with urgent care needs. - ➤ Crews battled a two-alarm house fire on Sweden Walker Road in Clarkson on Sunday—roads were temporarily closed before reopening as the Monroe County Sheriff's Office began investigating the incident. ABC 13
- ➤ The Red Cross helped a person displaced by a house fire on Pullman Avenue off Dewey Avenue on Monday morning—firefighters from the Rochester Fire Department responded just before 7 a.m., put the fire out, and are investigating the cause. News 10

- ➤ 7 Brew, an Arkansas-based drive-thru coffee chain, is planning a second Henrietta location on the old Sticky Lips BBQ Juke Joint property near the Genesee Valley Regional Market complex — the new stand will feature a drive-thru lane for 21 vehicles and will be built quickly from prefabricated parts. - ➤ Monroe County announced (yesterday) that the newly renovated Kanatota Lodge at Webster Park has opened to expand capacity, add modern amenities, and improve accessibility.
