- ➤ St. Joseph School in Penfield held its annual Field of Honor ceremony Wednesday morning to honor veterans ahead of Veterans Day—more than 175 miniature flags purchased by community members were displayed and funds raised will benefit the Veterans Outreach Center. News 10

- ➤ Grow-NY’s Food & Agriculture Summit will take place from November 12 to 13 at Hotel Canandaigua in Ontario County to boost local farming. Finalists in the contest will have a chance to win up to $1 million for their ideas — program director Jenn Smith said the event aims to grow the agricultural sector. ABC 13
- ➤ Wegmans and Rochester Regional Health expanded grab-and-go meals at Rochester General Hospital following a popular pilot at the University of Rochester. - ➤ Goodwill of the Finger Lakes announced it will open a new store in Irondequoit in 2026 next to the Community Center at Skyview on the Ridge—spanning 25,000 square feet to create 45 jobs and offer gently used apparel, home décor, housewares, furniture, and seasonal goods. Funding includes $1 million from the New York State Community Fund plus an extra $300,000 secured by local legislators, with sales proceeds supporting various community programs. Democrat & Chronicle
- ➤ Today, the Stella Foundation expands its free entrepreneurship program in Rochester to offer local entrepreneurs free classes+ opportunities to network, especially for women. - ➤ The United States Postal Service is hosting job fairs in Rochester, Canandaigua, Batavia, and Wyoming County—today at the Arcade Post Office in Wyoming County and continuing on November 14th, 18th, and 24th at local post offices—where on-site representatives answer questions about work requirements and pay rates of $20.73 for city roles and $20.85 for rural roles while applicants must be 18 or older and able to work weekends and holidays.
