CULTURE NEWS

  • Monty Python’s ‘Spamalot’ will run from January 13 to January 18, 2026 at the West Herr Auditorium — tickets are now on sale for eight performances.  News 10

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Rochester City School District launched a district-wide campaign called Level Up for Reading Monday at 10:27 a.m.—everyone in the community is urged to pause and read to help improve literacy outcomes.  News 10

FINANCE NEWS

  • A new ESL branch opened Monday in Rochester's Bull's Head neighborhood — it is located on West Main Street and Churchlea Place and features a mural painted by local artist Shawn Dunwoody, while local officials said the branch will help residents gain easier access to nearby banking services.  News 10

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that $30 million in emergency funds will be fast-tracked to help New Yorkers with food insecurity due to a possible federal shutdown — the funds will provide 16 million meals and an extra $11 million for food banks while SNAP users will be notified by November 1 of any changes.  News 10
