- ➤ Mt. Olivet Baptist Church celebrated 115 years on Oct. 25—marking the milestone with a gospel concert, worship service, and walkathon in Genesee Valley Park that underscored its long history of helping the Rochester community. ABC 13
- ➤ A community event was held yesterday at Rochester Community Sports Complex by Chisel Collective to help local Medicaid recipients, pregnant individuals, and parents pay for rent, utilities & food costs. The event ended at 6 p.m. and two more sessions are scheduled, one at Arnett Library on Oct 29 and another at Joseph Avenue Library on Oct 30. News 10
- ➤ On Saturday, Oct. 25, nearly 300 children attended the Peek-A-BOO Kids Halloween Party at Dr. David and Ruth Anderson Academy School No. 16 — hosted by ROC ROYAL INC and community partner Terrell Wyatt — where games, costumes, food, and support services gave local families a day of fun and hope. Families also connected with local services amid growing concerns for safety and economic uncertainty. ABC 13
- ➤ The Seneca Park Zoo hosted First Responder Day Saturday, Oct. 25 to honor local firefighters, police officers, dispatchers, and healthcare workers. Visitors enjoyed hands-on activities and saw emergency vehicles — learning how these responders keep our community safe. ABC 13
