- ➤ Brighton man Kyle Brancato rescued a rare orange lobster from Tops Friendly Markets by using Palmer's tank water and a 20‐gallon sea water tank to keep it alive—he then contacted Humane Long Island to return it to the ocean. The animal-rights group will acclimate the lobster named Jean-Claude for about an hour before releasing it back into its natural habitat. ABC 13
- ➤ On Sunday, Sept.21, community members gathered in front of Hamlin Town Hall to honor Charlie Kirk—Councilmember Joel Yager said the memorial spurred local debate as people reflected on his impact. ABC 13

- ➤ The fairlife milk processing plant in Webster remains under construction and has started hiring 125 workers toward a goal of 335 as production line testing will begin in late November; planned road upgrades including a Boulter Industrial Parkway extension—aimed at easing truck and employee traffic—will support the new facility and spur redevelopment of the former Xerox campus. - ➤ Today, Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York will provide free care to Medicaid patients after a federal ruling blocked reimbursements for over 1.1 million users last year—more than half of its patients rely on Medicaid, and the nonprofit will work with donors to fill funding gaps and keep basic health services available.
