- ➤ Sixty-one veterans will fly out to Washington, D.C. today at 6 a.m. from Rochester International Airport on the fourth Honor Flight, and Air Force veteran Paul Jackson will carry a flag to honor his late brother—joining a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. News 10
- ➤ Nearly two years after closing due to severe damage, the Gillett Road bridge in Ogden reopened following repairs and testing — a step that reconnects emergency services, school buses and local residents. Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said the move addresses long-standing access issues in the community. ABC 13

- ➤ Eastman School of Music professor and acclaimed guitarist Nicholas Goluses will perform a solo recital at Hatch Hall on Sept. 29 and he has his new album Across the Horizon released digitally today — the album features works by modern composers such as Piazzolla and Villa-Lobos. - ➤ Eastman School of Music will host free concerts this fall, featuring a Shostakovich Celebration and a series of jazz performances by both faculty and students. The events will take place at Kodak Hall, Kilbourn Hall, and Hatch Recital Hall starting September 22 and running through December 8—giving Rochester local music lovers a range of performances to enjoy. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Kathy Hochul released the new COVID-19 vaccine guidelines for 2025 to 26 — which recommend shots for children six to 23 months, adults 65 and older, and high-risk groups like pregnant, lactating or immunocompromised people — as part of efforts to protect all New Yorkers. An executive order signed earlier lets pharmacies offer the vaccine for at least 30 days — a rule designed to make doses more accessible — so every resident can have a chance to stay safe. News 10
