- ➤ The Veterans Outreach Center hosted a picnic at Cobbs Hill Park yesterday—supporting veterans with mental health care during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. It will also hold a veteran art show today at Slate on South and a veteran job fair Friday at Rochester Public Market. ABC 13
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday morning, Monroe County sheriff’s deputies said a car backing out in Perinton struck a school bus carrying five children and two staff members near an apartment complex on Balsam Lane—causing a leg injury to one staff member while the driver is set to receive a ticket. News 10
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Tuesday morning, ICE officers raided a roofing project near the George Eastman Museum on Westminster Road and East Avenue and arrested one worker while over 200 protesters gathered to oppose the raid until 11 a.m. when ICE withdrew after vehicle tires were slashed—leaving two roof workers still on site. - ➤ Devon Smith Jr. and his brother Fabion Brock are facing charges after a domestic dispute on Foster Road in Greece early Friday when Smith pulled a gun that discharged striking him in the hip and groin—Smith was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and both men were charged with a weapons violation and tampering with evidence. - ➤ A woman accused of starting a deadly house fire that killed a five year old boy on Portland Avenue faced the victim’s family in court on Tuesday as testimony began—multiple witnesses including first responders testified about the evidence gathered from the scene. ABC 13

- ➤ Rochester Mayor Malik Evans said he is very worried about Judge Michael Lopez after Monroe County Executive Adam Bello filed a formal complaint with the Commission on Judicial Conduct. Evans noted that the judge has overturned bail decisions without a request — a move that has affected serious domestic violence cases. News 10
