- ➤ Five people died in a bus crash on I-90 in Genesee County when the bus lost control while traveling from Niagara Falls to New York City — state police are seeking warrants to investigate the driver as 47 were hospitalized and one child remains in critical condition. News 10

- ➤ A 22-year-old man was shot in the upper body on North St. near Kosciusko Street just before 2 a.m.—he is recovering at Rochester General as police search for the shooter. NewsRadio WHAM
- ➤ Rochester police charged 21 year old Jordyn Green with leaving the scene of a fatal hit and run on Lexington Avenue — a crash in which 64 year old pedestrian Mulong No was struck Saturday, Aug. 9 at about 9:30 p.m. and later died on Aug. 13. Democrat & Chronicle
- ➤ Rochester Police arrested a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old—suspects in the fatal robbery of 68-year-old Gilberto Morales-Cruz—on Smith Street Saturday at 4:30 p.m. while he was riding his bicycle alone. News 10
- ➤ At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday in Pittsford, Monroe County sheriff’s deputies found a driver unresponsive on Hilltop Drive—he later regained consciousness, sped away and hit mailboxes, parked cars and a tree on Crestview Drive—and he now faces charges for reckless driving and obstructing governmental administration while receiving treatment at a hospital. - ➤ Brandon Washington pleaded guilty to federal charges for leading a marijuana trafficking ring that brought gang members from out of town into Rochester to kill rival pot dealers – one gang member is already serving life for killing a police officer and two alleged dealers, and Washington will be sentenced in December. - ➤ A stolen car reported near North Plymouth Avenue and Bloss Street on Monday sped away when officers attempted a stop and later crashed into a vacant home at Dewey and Glenwood avenues, leaving a 34-year-old woman with outstanding arrest warrants and another driver hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries—police say the suspect is in custody.
