Rochester firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire early Sunday morning at 387—393 Cottage Street that damaged both buildings and displaced seven people while the Red Cross assisted five adults and two children.

Toronto-based Li-Cycle Holdings Corp. halted work on an unfinished lithium-ion battery recycling hub at Eastman Business Park after rising costs forced a bankruptcy filing in May.

It was acquired by Glencore Canada Corp. on August 7—official plans for the site remain unknown.
