- ➤ Emergency crews responded to a crash near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Driving Park Avenue on Saturday, July 26th when a 47-year-old man was struck by a Jeep Cherokee that swerved onto the sidewalk while avoiding another car and hit a building—he was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries and police expect no criminal charges. - ➤ A 70-year-old Honeoye man, Randy P. Wheaton, was thrown from his motorcycle and killed Saturday on County Road 36 in Naples—investigators say he lost control while riding northwest. Democrat & Chronicle

- ➤ Family and friends gathered to remember 34-year-old Phylicia Council—killed in the Maplewood Park mass shooting a year ago that also claimed 25-year-old Tyasia Manning—while authorities continue to investigate the case and suspect Niger Johnson remains charged with reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon, with further leads still being pursued.
