- ➤ Authorities confirmed that on June 21 a 27-foot powerboat capsized on Lake Tahoe and eight people died, including three from the Rochester region—Theresa Giullari aged 66, James Guck aged 69, and Stephen Lindsay aged 63—with two survivors rescued. Democrat & Chronicle

- ➤ Three people were hospitalized after two overnight stabbing attacks in Rochester, with police responding to a 35-year-old woman on Wilson Street near Hudson Avenue at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday — and later to a 67-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman on Jefferson Avenue near Shelter Street with non-lethal injuries.
