- ➤ On Saturday, the Rochester Amateur Radio Association held its 92nd annual radio festival at Barnard Fire Field where attendees could take free license tests, listen to technical talks, buy and sell equipment, and enter a raffle for a Bioenno 12 Volt Solar Battery charging system—admission cost was $10 with free entry for students, volunteers, and club members. - ➤ The documentary This Is Sing-Out is now streaming on Amazon Prime, telling the story of the local show that helped young people shine for over 30 years. - ➤ Reconnect Rochester will install seasonal curb extension murals on June 28th at the intersection of East Main Street and Gibbs Street as part of the Downtown SmART Streets program to boost pedestrian safety and local art—local artist Fran Diaz designed the murals to honor the music corridor central to the Rochester Jazz Festival and the Eastman School of Music—while officials plan to monitor traffic and pedestrian activity. - ➤ Livingston County is welcoming more inclusivity as Avon Youth Baseball’s adaptive team, the Mighties, played yesterday at Avon Driving Park with 18 children aided by 22 volunteer Buddies—volunteers aged 12 and older from nine towns.
