- ➤ A woman (in her 30s) was seriously injured in an apparent drive-by shooting in northwest Rochester early Monday morning when a car fired shots near Murray and Texas streets just south of Lyell Avenue, striking her in the torso before leaving the scene, and she was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in stable condition while police investigate the targeted attack. - ➤ Two brothers—Alexander Lugo-Torres, who allegedly had a loaded gun and drove his ATV at an officer while dragging him, and Alexis Lugo Torres, who tried to flee and dragged several officers and hit vehicles—were found guilty of 2nd-degree assault for attacking police near Casa Campo Restaurant on East Main Street a year ago and will be sentenced next month. - ➤ Police identified Henry Brown, aged 70, as the victim of a hit and run on South Union Street near Buena Place around 2:15 a.m. Saturday (he worked as a doorman at Salinger's Pub for over 30 years) who died shortly after reaching Strong Memorial Hospital, with police continuing to investigate the incident. - ➤ Rochester’s Harborfest returns to Ontario Beach Park from Friday to Sunday with free admission and fun events like a nighttime boat parade of lights, live music, and a sand sculpting contest.
