CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A juvenile assaulted a pedestrian during a robbery on Lake Ave at 9:21 p.m. Tuesday night and fled in a white Kia Forte that led to a 20-minute chase on S. Plymouth Ave—during which two officers were injured in a car collision; the suspect is now in custody and faces charges of second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny. ABC 13
- ➤ A 32-year-old Rochester man named Jerome Edmonds was arrested after police said he assaulted his partner and damaged her car with a baseball bat, stole her purse and was found with cocaine following a domestic incident around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Highland Park—he now faces charges of robbery, assault, grand larceny, criminal mischief and controlled substance possession and will be moved to Monroe County Jail after a hospital evaluation. - ➤ On Wednesday morning, Rochester Police responded at 6 a.m. to a report from Reservoir Avenue in Highland Park that a man hit a woman with a baseball bat and stole her purse after an argument—Jerome Edmonds, 32, was arrested on Rockingham Street and faces charges including robbery, assault, grand larceny, criminal mischief, and criminal possession of a controlled substance— while officers noted he had cocaine with him. - ➤ Irondequoit police arrested a second suspect in connection with the fire that killed Fraime Ubaldo, his girlfriend Marangely Moreno Santiago, and their two young children on August 31+ Luis Francisco Soriano was taken into custody in the Dominican Republic and is expected to be extradited to face murder charges. - ➤ The family of Tracy Henton-Williams expressed relief when Roger Wiggins was convicted again for her 2018 murder on Wednesday afternoon—hoping his conviction will finally mean they never have to see him again as he awaits sentencing on July 21. News 10

- ➤ Rochester-based Catholic Charities ended its refugee resettlement program because a federal immigration freeze cut funds and forced layoffs—about 800 refugees lost the chance to be relocated. The nonprofit will focus on helping refugees already here with employment, health, and legal services as it awaits possible federal review. Rochester First
