- ➤ The historic Village Fair grocery store will reopen at 119 W. Commercial St in East Rochester on July 15, bringing back its original charm founded by Paul Constantini. Nearly $100,000 has been invested in repairs, including a new roof, to serve local residents' needs. Democrat & Chronicle

- ➤ Seventeen calves stolen from Lamb Farms on May 25 were returned to their Oakfield home on Wednesday after a tip led local law enforcement to recover the five-month-old heifers. Democrat & Chronicle

- ➤ Octavia Spencer is set to visit Rochester on July 17 to receive the 2026 George Eastman Award at the Dryden auditorium. Tickets for the 8 p.m. ceremony go on sale June 15 for museum members and June 18 for the public (prices from $125 to $400). Democrat & Chronicle
