COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Lollypop Farm in Fairport is expanding its campus with a project across the street from its main site that will add a farm intake center, 10 pastures, an enhanced dog holding facility, a maintenance barn and community spaces. The nonprofit has raised $27 million toward a $35 million goal and expects the work to be finished before the end of 2027 (project timeline announced by organizers).  News 10

CRIME NEWS

  • Rochester Police responded to a report of car break-ins at Culver Road Armory on Sunday at around 6:40 p.m. and found two damaged vehicles (TRATA) while investigators ask anyone with information to call (911).  News 10
  • Friends and family of Jared Oswald, 50, have been searching for him since May 19 after he was last seen leaving a house on Harding Road in Charlotte. Police said he may be in danger and urge anyone with information to call 911—his loved ones stay hopeful.  ABC 13

  • Rochester native Carmen Vallone will perform at Comedy @ The Carlson on Thursday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m.—he will stop by ARC Rochester with his son Luke to share details of his act before the show.  FOX Rochester
  • Skylark Lounge will host a high-energy tribute to Latin music icons Celia Cruz and Tito Puente on Friday, May 30 at 9 p.m.—the event will feature performances by Rosa Martinez and Sarai Santos.  ABC 13

  • Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women is making student mental health a top focus this May—Principal Sherylanne Diodato said the school is adding supports to help students cope and grow.  ABC 13
