  • Comedian Joe Avati adds a third performance — a response to high demand — with his show starting at 8 p.m. tonight at Casa Larga Vineyards.  FOX Rochester
  • Fat Morning performed at ARC Rochester on Friday, May 22, showcasing indie rock with multilingual vocals and potent guitar playing. The band will perform at Bar Bad Ending on Monroe Avenue on May 29 (and at The Bug Jar on July 28).  ABC 13

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Rochester boaters are adapting to rising fuel prices ahead of Memorial Day weekend. At Shumway Marina (near the Genesee River), many plan to adjust speed and monitor weather to manage costs and keep their trips on course.  News 10

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Seneca Park Zoo debuts an interactive outdoor sculpture exhibit titled Tales of Conservation Wildlife Rescue featuring 12 life-size animal sculptures celebrating species rescued from extinction. The exhibit opens this Memorial Day weekend and runs through Aug. 18 on the zoo campus and playground.  WXXI News

  • On May 22, the Red Wings overcame a 4–0 start by Worcester to beat the Red Sox 9–4 by rallying late, with eight of nine starters scoring—boosting their record to 11 wins in 12 games.  Democrat & Chronicle
  • Section V boys lacrosse playoffs took place on May 21 when Brighton won 20 to 3 over Gates Chili and Irondequoit defeated Churchville-Chili 19 to 5, while Waterloo edged Newark 10 to 6 in Class D — teams now look ahead to the NYSPHSAA tournament.  Democrat & Chronicle
