  • Kettle Korn is drawing long lines from eager fans at the Lilac Festival today as its sweet taste continues to win local hearts in Rochester.  Democrat & Chronicle
  • Out of Pocket Productions presents the off-Broadway play 'Deep Blue Sound' at MuCCC from May 22 to 30, which explores the sudden disappearance of whales and fractures in a small island town. Actor Samantha Gibson and director Jeff Siuda promoted the play with ARC Rochester yesterday.  ABC 13

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The southbound lane of Genesee Street between West Main and Clifton is closed for repairs after a water main break on the Holly System. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes — construction is expected to finish by the end of today.  City of Rochester

HEALTH NEWS

  • Rochester’s University team developed an AI tool that uses detailed health record data to better predict lung disease in preterm newborns. The researchers say the tool outperformed older methods and will soon be validated for clinical decision support.  Rochester Beacon

  • A State Supreme Court justice ruled that Elizon Transfer DB LLC foreclosed on the Hungerford Building after Peter Hungerford defaulted on his $8.2M mortgage. The building—once a busy artist hub with 36 code violations—will be turned over for repayment determination.  WXXI News

  • Section V girls lacrosse postseason tournaments began on Tuesday, May 19 across four classifications. Teams will compete over two weeks at various locations with championship games scheduled for June 1 and June 2 at St. John Fisher University.  Democrat & Chronicle
