- ➤ Volunteers from Camp Good Days and Special Times tidied up Teddi’s Place at Highland Park on May 7 ahead of the 127th annual Lilac Festival, which runs from Friday through Sunday. - ➤ Breeze Airways announced new nonstop flights from our airport to Tampa starting Oct.1 and to Myrtle Beach starting Oct.2. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City officials are expanding a consultant study to include both Highland Park Reservoir and Cobbs Hill Reservoir—an effort needed to meet federal water quality rules and avoid contamination. The study, costing up to $1.5 million, will guide decisions on decommissioning or modifications with Highland due to be compliant by 2029 and Cobbs Hill by 2035. WXXI News
