- ➤ More than 400 donors+community leaders joined the Make a Wish Gala at the Hyatt Regency Center on May 3 to honor over 120 Rochester children facing critical illnesses. The event celebrated the power of a wish in changing lives. ABC 13

- ➤ A memorial garden on SUNY Brockport honored 26-year-old Lindsay Kyle and other victims of drunk driving as her family, who established the garden in 2005, remembered her after she was killed when a drunk driver rear-ended her at a red light on May 3. ABC 13
- ➤ On Friday, a man stabbed at an event on Mark Street drove himself to Rochester General Hospital at 7:10 p.m.—his injury was minor—and police are looking for the suspect. News 10

- ➤ On May 3rd, Mayor Evans kicked off the 2025 Clean Sweep at Innovative Field in Rochester with over 2,500 volunteers from more than 100 community groups joining the neighborhood beautification effort. The rain forced the postponement of the Red Wings game and the Silver Sweeper award presentation—both will be rescheduled soon. ABC 13

- ➤ The sixth annual Casino Night fundraiser was held at the Strathallan on East Avenue, where guests participated in gambling, grazing, and a silent auction in support of the area's only burn center at URMC—raising over $30,000 to date.
