  • Triple-O is partnering with AutismUp (its third year) to donate 5% of installations during April for Autism Awareness Month. AutismUp founder Sarah Milko and Triple-O founder Luke Giannone shared details during Monday’s event at ARC Rochester.  FOX Rochester
  • Rochester’s Full Circle Home gathered volunteers Monday to prepare roughly 15,000 gifts in 1,250 sets to support American troops stationed abroad amid the Iran war as part of its 12 Days of Christmas program.   • TYKEs will present A Bad Case of Stripes, an adaptation of David Shannon's children’s book, at the JCC with shows at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Apr. 11, 18, and 19 and a 2:00 p.m. show on Apr. 12.  ABC 13

EDUCATION NEWS

  • FAFSA Fest will help high school students and their families fill out federal and state college aid forms. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center on Chestnut Street and will offer support, free food, and childcare (available in English and Spanish).  WXXI News
  • Rochester City School District will open two new early childhood education centers during the 2026-2027 school year. They will be located at 145 Midland Avenue (formerly School No. 39) and 820 Chili Avenue (formerly School No. 44) to offer more pre-K options for local families.  News 10
  • Governor Kathy Hochul declared April 2026 Financial Aid Awareness Month to help students complete FAFSA and TAP applications. State officials say that more than two dozen statewide events and extra resources like the Financial Aid Navigator will ease college costs.  Democrat & Chronicle
