  • Rochester police said a 52-year-old man was found in the roadway at Cottage and Elba streets Saturday—he was rushed to Strong Hospital with life-threatening stab wounds and no arrests have been made.  NewsRadio WHAM
  • A Rochester officer was taken to the hospital after two RPD cruisers collided on the Inner Loop while chasing a vehicle during a false kidnapping call just before 10 last night—he was checked out and later released.  NewsRadio WHAM
  • Monroe County Sheriff's deputies detained multiple suspects after a police chase linked to a burglary in the Town of Sweden—an investigation that is still ongoing.  ABC 13
  • A 31-year-old man is recovering after being shot Monday morning on Genesee Street near Frost Avenue—Rochester Police arrived at 5:20 a.m. and took him to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is expected to survive.  News 10
  • A man from Rochester was shot Monday morning near Frost Avenue on Genesee Street and was hospitalized with injuries that police say are not life-threatening—an investigation is ongoing.  ABC 13

HEALTH NEWS

  • Nursing homes in Canandaigua are struggling as Medicaid pays only 70% of care costs, which is causing many facilities to lose $100 a day per resident and face closures. The centers ask the Governor and lawmakers to raise the reimbursement rate while one center stays open thanks to community support—others do not have that option.  News 10
