- ➤ Eighth-grader Daniel Adams from Rochester Prep Brooks Campus is being honored for cleaning up trash on Otis Street and showing community leadership. The Do the Right Thing award, hosted by the Rochester Police, recognizes his efforts and his dream to become mayor. News 10
- ➤ Uniting and Healing through Hope of Monroe County is preparing its annual food drive to help families facing food insecurity this Easter season. Donations will be accepted at six Tops locations from Thursday through Sunday, March 29 + a news conference on Thursday will explain how to donate and volunteer. News 10
- ➤ RMSC presents Uncorked & On Tap, an annual tasting event where dozens of local vendors offer food and craft beverages. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at RMSC. FOX Rochester

- ➤ Strong National Museum of Play announced 12 video game finalists for the World Video Game Hall of Fame and is accepting public votes online through March 13. The museum will reveal the inductees at the ESL Digital Worlds exhibit on Thursday, May 7. News 10
- ➤ Today, School of the Arts hosts its annual Dance Concert at 7pm to showcase choreography by students & faculty. The event continues tomorrow with performances at 2pm and 7pm, giving the community a chance to enjoy local creativity. ABC 13

- ➤ New York State leaders are warning residents to look out for price gouging on essentials as a Middle East conflict slows shipments of gas, medications, and food. Gov. Kathy Hochul urged consumers to report suspected gouging to the Attorney General's Office. News 10

- ➤ Nazareth University named Maureen Finney its 11th president and she will begin on July 1 after Beth Paul stepped down in June following a six-month national search. - ➤ Officials report dozens of sick or dead birds across the region since early 2026, including clusters near the frozen Canandaigua Lake. The DEC advises leaving birds undisturbed (testing continues at the National Veterinary Services Laboratories), noting last year saw 293 confirmed cases in wild birds. WXXI News
