  • Seven faculty-nominated college students showcased their media projects and received critiques from filmmakers and marketing professionals at the Tom Hope Media Scholar Program event in Victor, N.Y. on Saturday, Feb. 28 (named in honor of combat photographer Tom Hope).  ABC 13

HEALTH NEWS

  • Local first responders competed in the 8th annual Fire vs Police Winter Classic at Tim Hortons Ice Plex in Brighton on Saturday—raising funds for the Breast Cancer Coalition. The event brought together survivors, patients and community members to support the fight against breast cancer.  ABC 13
  • The U of R School of Nursing hosts Voices of Hope at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center during National Disorders Awareness Week to inform locals about eating disorders (including community-based meal preparation for recovery).  ABC 13
