- ➤ Applications for the second round of Neighbors in Action grants opened Monday, Jan. 12 when Mayor Malik Evans, ESL Federal Credit Union and the Rochester Area Community Foundation launched the program to help residents improve their neighborhoods. News 10

- ➤ Roberts Community Theatre is presenting a special preview of The Hunchback of Notre Dame combining Victor Hugo's storytelling with Walt Disney Company's adaptation. The event will offer local residents a unique cultural experience. ABC 13
- ➤ PBS’s Antiques Roadshow will film a new season event in the Rochester area on June 17 in Mumford—a hamlet in Wheatland—with free ticket sweepstakes open until Feb. 12 for two appraisals each. Episodes will air on PBS in 2027. Democrat & Chronicle

- ➤ Drivers in Brighton and Pittsford school districts are in a 30-day warning period as part of Monroe County's expanded school bus safety program. - ➤ Monroe County Virtual Senior Center will provide free live social, health, and educational sessions for adults 60 and older. - ➤ The Department of Environmental Conservation advises caution as avian flu is expected to peak in New York. Residents are urged to avoid contact with sick or dead birds and mammals and to handle any carcasses with gloves and masks — recommended safety measures for those in close contact with wildlife.
