13th Annual Ibero Coat Giveaway

About this event

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Ibero-American Action League will host its 13th Annual Coat Giveaway at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026, at Eugenio María de Hostos Charter School (27 Zimbrich St., Rochester). The event aims to support residents in need during the cold winter months by providing free coats and winter gear. Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

The event is co-sponsored by The Summit Federal Credit Union, Advantage Federal Credit Union, and Eugenio María de Hostos Charter School. This year’s event will feature gently used coats, on-site vendors, and a warm cultural meal. Attendees can also be screened for additional services they may qualify for under the New York 1115 Medicaid Waiver.

Last year, Ibero served more than 1,000 individuals, connected families to essential services, and provided over 1,200 warm meals. Attendees represented eight languages, highlighting the event’s growing reach beyond the Latinx community. Throughout its twelve-year tenure, the event has provided an estimated 10,000 coats and meals.
