About this event

We come together for all kinds of reasons – to celebrate, to share a meal, to catch up with friends, or simply to enjoy one another’s company. But what if gathering together could be about something deeper? What if the simple act of opening our hearts and doors could help build a solid foundation not just for our own emotional and spiritual well-being, but also for our families, neighbors, and friends – including some we maybe even haven't met yet!

So many of us live in communities or neighborhoods where we know the faces and we "know" the people – but how many people do we truly know? In a world where a sense of isolation and loss of purpose are increasingly prevalent, could a home visit – the simple act of visiting friends and neighbors with the intention of building stronger ties of purposeful friendships – allow us to explore our hopes and concerns with one another and help bring us closer together? What if the spaces we create for one another – both by inviting folks to visit with us and by visiting with others – could become places where we grow, find encouragement, and imagine new possibilities for our collective future?
